Supporting Teacher Development
When I talk with educators about teacher evaluation, no one questions the need for feedback to improve teaching. There is much written about assessment, evaluation, data gathering and analysis related to teaching. The part of teacher evaluation that seems to get overlooked is the human factor. Teachers are not computers or machines that can be “fixed” with mere input from a reviewer.
